About

My approach to treatment

While I have a general family practice, I have a special interest in treating mood disorders (particularly anxiety, panic disorder & mild depression), insomnia, fatigue and burn-out.

Have you ever felt like you’ve been pushing yourself to get through the day, but you have no energy to do any of the things that you WANT to do, and you sometimes (or a lot of the time) snap at your family members or colleagues because you just cannot tolerate their s&*t and you look so forward to just going to bed, but as soon as your head hits the pillow your mind fires up which causes you to not sleep, then you wake up exhausted the next morning and do the same thing all over again?

Yeah, that. I specialize in that.

Whether I am treating someone who has hypothyroidism, PCOS, generalized anxiety disorder or IBS, I always address the mental and emotional aspects of health. It is such a huge component of a person’s overall health, and is so often overlooked. This means that I ask my patients to first actually think about how their stress, mood and emotional baggage might be impacting their day-to-day life and thus, their health. Once I identify all the factors that are contributing to a person’s health (or lack thereof), I design a customized treatment plan to get them back to where they want to be. There is no “standard formula” of what I recommend, but I do heavily incorporate botanicals, nutritional supplementation, diet and lifestyle changes.
